Printing on waxed paper

Viimeaikoina on näkynyt jokapuolella paljon erilaisia printtejä, kuvia ja tekstejä mm. sisustuksessa. Joku "asiantuntija" tosin kirjoitti niiden olevan jo täysin out, mutta itse rakastan enemmän hyviä ideoita ja inspiraatiota kuin massamuodin perässä juoksemista. 

Nyt löysin tavan ja tekniikan, joka sai minut intoutumaan niin, että unohdin mennä illalla nukkumaan. Mutta ilon ja onnellisuuden määrä tästä valtavasta ideavyörystä piti minut virkeänä myös seuraavana päivänä lyhyistä yöunista huolimatta. 

Tässä siis teillekin valtavan helppo, monipuolinen, edullinen ja mahdollisuuksia täynnä oleva tapa käyttää printteriäsi aivan uudella tavalla! 

Lately there has been a lot of different kinds of prints, pictures and texts in design and decoration. Someone "professional" just told that they are so out but personally, I really like good ideas and inspiration more than running after the latest fashion or design. 

Now I found a tecnique that made me so exited that I forgot to go to sleep last night. But despite the few hours of sleep my joy and happiness about this ideaflow have kept me awake all day!

So here is an very easy, diverse, affordable way to use your printer in whole new way! 

Tarvitset                                               You need

              - Vahapaperia                                                       - Waxed paper                

                               - Tulostimen                                                        - Printer                                          

                   - Idean                                                                 - an idea                            

Paperi jota käytät voi olla mikätahansa paperi, johon muste ei tartu. Jotkut ovat käyttäneet leivinpaperia, mutta oma tulostimeni ei tullut toimeen leivinpaperin kanssa, joten käytin tulostimeen sopivaa tarrapaperia, poistin tarrat ja tulostin kuvat vahamaiselle pinnalle, tämän paperin voi kaikenlisäksi käyttää tähän tarkoitukseen useamman kerran. Tällaista paperia saa esim. suomalaisesta kirjakaupasta. 

 

Paper that you can use is anykind of waxed paper. My printer didnt get along with a waxed paper so I used printable sticker paper, I removed the stickers and used the waxed paper behind, this paper can be used all over again. 

 

Yksinkertaisuudessaan Printtaa kuva vahapaperille. Jos kuvassasi on tekstiä käännä kuva ensin horisontaalisesti, jotta teksti tulostuu oikein päin. 

Print the picture on waxed paper. If there is text on your picture rotate the picture horizontally before printing. 

Paina kuva haluamallesi pinnalle ja painele se tarkkaan esim. pankkikortin tai lusikan avulla. Poista paperi ja ihaile saavutustasi! 

Press the picture on the surface of your want and press it well using credit card or spoon. Remove paper and admire what have you created! 

 

Kun luin netistä ohjeita printin valmistamiseen, oli viimeisenä vaiheena: Soita heti jollekin kertoaksesi mitä olet luonut! Naureskelin tälle ajatukselle, mutta kokeiltuani olin aika nopsasti puhelimessa jakamassa innostustani. 

When I read the instruction from internet the last phase was to call someone to share what have you created! I laughed at this one but once I tried, it took only few minutes and I was on the phone telling my sister about this great idea! 

Tulen varmasti kertomaan myöhemmin mihin kaikkeen itse olen tätä soveltamassa!

Tämä viimeisin kuva on esimerkki siitä, että kuva kannattaa pitää tarkasti paikoillaan kun painat kuvaa pintaa vasten ja että se kuva todella kannattaa kääntää horisontaalisesti ympäri. Minun leikkuu laudassani lukee nyt: selbategev cinagaro...

This last picture is a great expample of the fact you need to hold the paper very still when pressing the picture on surface and also you really want to rotate the picture horizontally.. My cutting board is now telling me: selbategev cinagaro...
